Functional Rehabilitation

Functional rehabilitation goes beyond isolated muscle work and asks a simple question: can your body perform the movements life actually demands? After a thorough exam, I design exercise progressions that retrain patterns like squatting, lifting, reaching, and walking-always tailored to your current capacity and goals.
You might work on single-leg stability to protect a previously sprained ankle, or hip and core control to support a vulnerable low back. I coach each movement closely so you learn proper alignment, breathing, and muscle engagement rather than just "going through the motions." As strength and coordination improve, patients usually find they can return to hiking, sports, or physically demanding jobs with more confidence and fewer flare-ups. The long-term benefit is a body that moves as an integrated unit instead of a collection of isolated, overworked parts.
